Apartamentos Tamarindos Peñiscola

The reception team were very helpful, and the laundry service was excellent. We could ask for fresh towels and bedding whenever we needed them. The apartment was spotless and well equipped, with good WiFi, and the location and free secure parking were great. We had two dogs, and lots of other guests did too, but it stayed really quiet. Would definitely recommend it.

The pool was clean and perfectly adequate, and there’s a restaurant on site with some basic food. The place is outside the busy tourist area, so it’s much quieter, and the beach wasn’t crowded at all. Shops and restaurants are a bit farther away, which suited us just fine. A very nice, clean place.

We’re a couple from the Netherlands, around 50, and have stayed at Tamarindos several times in late May or early June and again in late September. We usually come in May, but this year we arrived a little later and stayed longer into early June. Tamarindos had always felt peaceful, with retired couples and families. We booked 10 nights first, then added 6 more because we were flexible. The first 10 nights were definitely worth 5 stars, but the extension was a very different experience. We didn’t mind changing apartments, but nobody told us the next one allowed smoking. As non-smokers, we found it felt stale. We cleaned it ourselves and kept the windows open as much as possible. I still don’t understand why smoking apartments are offered in 2025, especially at a place where children stay. If you don’t like smoke, ask for a non-smoking apartment. After our first night there, a group of German families arrived, with at least 100 people and lots of children of different ages. Within hours, the quiet Tamarindos we knew had turned into a madhouse of kids running, yelling, playing, and crying. Sunday was worse. The pool was packed with inflatable toys and beds, people were playing rugby ball despite signs saying that wasn’t allowed, and there was jumping and diving. Normal swimming was impossible. Later, teenagers were climbing onto the closed restaurant roof, palm trees, and walls by the parking lot, with no correction from their parents. They were still in the pool after midnight. Tamarindos has no employees on site on Sundays because it is closed. It’s a wonder nobody got hurt climbing around or playing ball. That group was enormous and must have been hard to manage, but Tamarindos should have done more to address people breaking the rules and consider the other guests too. These parents should be ashamed of themselves. We’ll come back because we know Tamarindos can be a friendly, beautiful place. Next time, though, we’ll ask about the situation and request a non-smoking apartment.

I’ve stayed at Tamarindos twice and would gladly come back. The apartments are clean and new, with everything you need, and the staff are very attentive. Excellent place.
