Camping Bungalows Sol D´Or

A really nice campsite. The showers were clean and practical. The bathroom light switches off on a very short timer, so you can end up in the dark, and there was no toilet paper. Still, I enjoyed the place.

It was a quiet campground, and for 16 euros we got a night’s stay with Wi-Fi and a hot shower. You need to bring your own toilet paper and hand towels, though I’m not sure whether that was posted anywhere. You also have to take your rubbish away yourself, which isn’t a huge deal.

The site itself is nice, but several things spoiled it for us. The upper section is closed, so reaching the toilets or showers means a long walk unless you choose a pitch in the busy, noisy area. A nearby house also played music extremely loudly at different times, including at night. We complained to reception three times. They eventually spoke to the people there, but the music started up loudly again the next day. The bass made our whole vehicle vibrate, and we could hear every word of their dreadful music. The owners just wouldn’t deal with a serious problem.

The price is very reasonable, and the Wi-Fi works. Staff were friendly and tried to sort out any problems straight away. The sanitary facilities look old, but they’re absolutely clean and the water is hot. We can recommend this campsite.
