The apartment is pleasant, and I’d definitely come back. It has the facilities an unpretentious family needs, and while it’s a little far from the beach, the nearby streets give you a chance to get around and get to know the area. Two things still don’t make sense to me: why is there no toilet brush, and why is there no crockery or cutlery if there’s a kitchen? Apart from those, everything was superb 🙂

There are two apartment wings, and the garage lifts aren’t signposted, so make sure you know which one you need. Breakfast was decent. You have to ask for anything you need, like a kettle, cups, glasses, or spoons. A bit of a bummer.

The hotel is newer and in a good location, with clean, well-kept rooms. Service was exceptionally helpful at any hour. There are two pools, but neither was heated. Brrr.

The staff are helpful, and the hotel is pretty peaceful, at least in May. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach, with a bit of an uphill climb on the way back. I like the hotel, though a couple of things are annoying: the pool stays closed until summer, and gluten-free choices are limited. They had a frozen baguette for my first couple of days, but by the third morning it was gone, leaving biscuits, fruit, eggs, and tortilla de patata.

The English- and Spanish-speaking staff were very helpful and kind. They called taxis for us and even gave my friends and me a taxi number when we weren’t staying at the hotel.
