Getting there and parking were easy, though it’s not close to the popular attractions. Renovations are still underway, but our room was nice. Noise echoes around the room, as other people have mentioned, though the place was quiet overall. Staff were friendly and generally helpful.

We had a rental car, so reaching this remote location was easy. The staff were friendly, and everything in the rooms, including the beds and sheets, was spotless and well looked after. The pool was fine, though quite small, and I can see it getting crowded in peak season. In summer there was only a flat sheet on the bed, but when I asked for a blanket, they brought me a brand new duvet. As someone with special needs, I slept well thanks to that care and attention to detail. I’m very happy with the service.

There’s no bathroom on the ground floor, so if you need one during dinner, you have to go all the way back up to your room. The hotel is still being repaired after the winter flood, and the condition shows: the pool is shut, the elevator doesn’t work, and there are more than 50 steps to reach the first floor of rooms. That’s a serious hassle with luggage or mobility issues. The outside isn’t appealing, and the place feels outdated and neglected. It should have stayed closed for proper renovations before taking guests. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms because April is considered “winter” there, even though it can get quite warm. Opening a window in a shady neighborhood didn’t feel safe. Disappointing all around. EF TOURS assigned us this hotel.

The hotel is a bit far from Valéncia Sud metro station, about a 24-minute walk, which could be inconvenient without a car. I’d recommend having one to make getting around easier. Even so, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Checkin Ciscar in Valencia. The room was comfortable and well furnished, a good place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, and the staff were attentive and helpful throughout. I was very pleased with the service and accommodations, and I’d consider coming back, especially if I had a car.
