Casa Dilica

We still have such sweet memories of our stay at Casa Dilica last summer. We had the family room, with two connected rooms sharing a bathroom, which worked perfectly for us. We loved the pool area, the wonderful breakfasts, and the honesty bar, as well as having the very calm, sweet dogs and cats around. It’s a peaceful, lovely place with a warm family and lovely children. We’d definitely come back. Thanks for everything, Linda!

The breakfast was a treat every day. Linda always put something special on the table, and even got lactose-free yoghurt for our son, who is allergic to cow’s milk. She and Dirk were always ready to help with a question or request, and did it all with a smile. We were impressed by how much there was for families to do. Casa Dilica felt like a paradise for children, and Dirk and Linda’s two sweet, helpful kids were happy to play with our little son. They made the stay extra special. We stayed a week in the spacious family room, which had a large bathroom and a nice cot for our 18-month-old. We’d booked through booking.com, and the room included a second room intended for families with older children. When Linda realized our son could sleep in our room, she contacted us straight away and lowered the price. That honesty made us feel welcome even before we arrived. Dirk, Linda and their kids went out of their way to accommodate us, and the place quickly felt like home. We’d recommend Casa Dilica any day and will definitely be back soon. And that strange review calling it a house of horror must be about somewhere else!

The rooms are in a separate wing from the owners’ part of the house, so there’s plenty of privacy. They’re modern, comfortable, clean, and all the windows have screens. The two dogs were a pleasure and made no noise at night, and the children were quiet too. The photos on the B&B website are accurate. We’d read some odd negative reviews that must have been about another place. Linda and Dirk were welcoming hosts, and everything was superb during our one-night stay last week. The room was excellent, and Linda happily made an amazing vegetarian breakfast, as the photos show. Cell service is patchy, but the Wi-Fi works reliably. There’s a well-stocked fridge on an honour system, which the hosts clearly explained when showing us around. It’s easy to make your own dinner, and the prices are barely marked up. It seems like a service to make the stay nicer, not a way to profit. One tip if you’re arriving from the south: Google may send you up a side road. Ignore it. The main entrance is on the main road, just 50m further on. See the pic. We’d certainly stay here again if we needed a B&B in the area.

Casa Dilica was fantastic. It’s so clean, and I loved all the little details that make you feel comfortable and welcome. The hospitality and warmth of the people were wonderful, and I loved their dogs Jack and Jones too. Breakfast was incredible, like a 5-star hotel. Not one bad thing to say.
