Caybeach Sun

The apartment was simple, roomy and clean, and we had a wonderful time. One pool was a little heated, which made a real difference for the kids in the winter sun. The Irish man at reception was especially cheerful and helpful. He knew the area well, gave us directions and told us what was on. One night he even hurried over to help while we were trying to take a family photo using the phone timer. Lots of the other staff were lovely too. Thanks for a lovely holiday, we’d definitely come back.

We had a good location, with a decent-sized car park, and the hotel was pretty quiet while we were there over New Year. The rooms were clean and tidy, and we found everything we needed when we cooked a couple of times. The pools were on the cold side, as we expected. It would have been nice to take the children into the indoor pool at some point, but we couldn’t use it during our stay.

The kids had a great pool area with two waterslides, and there was a kids disco in the evening until around 9pm, followed by adult entertainment such as bingo. The bar stayed open until 11pm. Ali at the pool bar was particularly nice, and staff were friendly in general. The onsite shop was very reasonably priced and stocked with everything you’d need. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the beach and promenade, so the location worked well. Our room was basic but clean. The lighting was awful, though: no ceiling lights, just wall lights in poor spots, which left the apartment feeling dark at night. During our one week stay, the bedsheets were changed once and the towels three times. All in all, I’d recommend Caybeach Sun.

We had a ball and made incredible memories with the amazing people we met. Playa blamca felt calm and easy to get around, with the holiday necessities still there and the strip only a 10minswalk away. The young Irish guy from dundalk was a great help at reception. Dundalk. 😊 The complex is hard to beat for families: 6 pools, a playground, tennis and football pitch, shop, pool bar and laundrette all onsite. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was standard but offered plenty of options, and cost 7.50 a day if you hadn’t booked it. It was the most accessible and family-friendly hotel I’ve been to, and I’ll definitely visit again. I’ll always recommend it.
