The games were such a fun extra for our group, and we got a lot of use out of them. We also liked being within a short walk of local shops, bars, and restaurants, with the beach not far away and more options there too. The villa was one of the most beautiful places I've stayed. It was clean and spacious, with all the amenities we wanted, including a full kitchen and lounge with TV. The outdoor pool, hot tub, sun loungers, and mountain views were lovely. I'd absolutely recommend it for a peaceful break with family or friends, and I'll definitely book again.

The villa was close to some shops and restaurants in a quiet area. The beds were reasonably comfortable and clean, and we made the most of our week and enjoyed relaxing. Still, it was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend it. Many promised facilities, including the pool, gym, darts, and hot tub, weren't usable. We'd paid to have the pool heated because we had young children, so that was a waste of time. There were big promises, but the property needs a lot of maintenance. The owner knew about major problems and hadn't fixed them, and Solmar villas were terrible when we tried to get solutions. The villa clearly hadn't been checked properly before we got the keys: there was no power to the outdoor amenities, including the gym and pool. Cleaning in the shared areas was lacking, and grime had stuck some ornaments to surfaces. Some doors caught on the floor and wouldn't fully open, and the door between the double bedroom and kids' room wouldn't close. We found several screws on the kids' area floor. The ball pit had very few balls, and most were broken and sharp, which isn't good for young children. The underfilled pool was dirty, needed major maintenance, and its fountain didn't work. The gym was unsafe: cables that weren't already snapped broke during workouts. Some air-conditioning units leaked a lot even with the doors shut. The kitchen was completely inadequate for cooking anything beyond a piece of toast.

The location worked really well, with shops, bars, and the sea within walking distance, plus the port just a short cab ride away. I read the reviews before booking and chose to visit with my wife because of the positive ones. Now I've been, I simply can't believe someone gave it one star. The villa was superb, with amazing facilities: a gym, huge pool, darts, table football, and a pool table. I'd highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Just back from a brilliant week at this gorgeous villa, and it was even better than I expected. There were new surprises throughout, from the sunken hot tub, big pool, putting green, and gym to the pool table, table football, table tennis, darts, and more. The main lounge has a huge TV with virtually every channel, and the leather sofa is beautiful and comfortable. We barely watched TV, though, because the outdoor areas were so lovely. We'll rebook as soon as we can. I can't recommend this place enough.
