The sea views and location were fantastic. Nearby there's a supermarket that bakes fresh bread every day and a row of restaurants where we had some great family meals. The villa was clean, airy, and lovely, with good appliances, comfortable beds, and beautiful outdoor spots for sunset drinks. The pool was clean, with plenty of sunbeds, and the pool guy came twice during our week's stay. We were there last week, in late May, and are already looking at coming back next year.

We had a dreadful week and would never stay here again. The place felt dark, damp, and depressing, and smelled unpleasant when we arrived. The pool heater was so loud that even with earplugs we couldn't sleep on our last night. There was no privacy by the pool, which is fully exposed to a busy public walkway to the seafront. The path passes through a garden where British expats walk their dogs, and the whole area was covered in dog mess. Before we could use the downstairs patio or small roof terrace, I had to sweep them. There were toenail clippings beside the outdoor dining table. Disgusting. I’ve just read the owner's reply. Amanda, I haven't reviewed any other properties, so that claim is untrue. I have reviewed a hotel with spiders and webs, a restaurant where a waiter yelled at me, and a medical supplier whose staff member was very rude on the phone. My other two reviews were 5/5. When I took the photos, the slats were open, but the windows were locked and we had no key to unlock them, which was a fire hazard. So yes, the rooms were dark. I did find toenails, and I sent photos of the clippings to Jet2holidays along with pictures of the mess I swept from the outside areas. I do have high standards and expect a villa costing £1935.58 for one week, self-catering only, to be clean. We've had four villa holidays and I've never had to make a formal complaint before. After going to Travel Arbitration, we were awarded a £550 refund plus the £108 Travel Arbitration fee, eight months after our stay. Jet2 paid us promptly, which we appreciate.

We had a lovely, quiet week in this villa. It had everything we needed and more, and I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone considering a visit. There are lovely sea views and a nice coastal path. Local shops, restaurants, bars, and a bus stop for Playa Blanca are just a five-minute walk away. Brilliant.
