Bungalows Playa Limones

The beach is just across the road, and turning left there takes you along the coast to bars and shops in about 15 minutes. Keep going along the coastal path and you reach Playa Blanca town in another 25-30 minutes. A taxi back was only about €5.50. The place was so quiet, the gardens were beautifully kept, and everything was really clean. Staff were happy and friendly, and the pools were immaculate, with plenty of space and shade. The bungalows were clean but a little dated, which didn’t bother us. The beds were comfortable memory foam, and the showers were great. Bring a plug in mosquito repellent and keep windows closed after dark. Don’t drink the tap water. I’ll definitely be back, and hope you enjoy your stay.

Everything I needed was there, and it was a quiet, lovely stay with a terrace that felt private. The bungalow was a bit dated but clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. Everyone on staff I met was friendly. Just right for a cheap, cheerful winter break.

Playa Limones was a lovely place for a week, and we’d definitely return. The staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. It’s somewhat dated, but clean and well maintained, with landscapers working each morning. Housekeeping came five days a week, a nice surprise for a self catering stay, and the pool was cleaned too. Our terrace was roomy and had two sunbeds, which was a real bonus. The room had what we needed for self catering, including cutlery, microwave, fridge, freezer, pans, and plates. Playa Flamingo beach is just across the road, about two minutes downhill. A Spar supermarket is five minutes away, while a small shop with good prices on essentials is two minutes away if you turn left leaving the bungalows. Cafes and restaurants are all walkable. The only thing that lost it a star was the lack of air conditioning, though reception rents fans. The large windows let in a breeze, so it wasn’t the end of the world.

The pool was great and the staff were superb. The apartments are clean and brilliantly located, just a two minute walk from the beach and shops. The kitchen is very old and scruffy and needs replacing. Once that’s done, the place will be perfect. I’d recommend staying here.
