The building noise made this the most unsettling stay I’ve ever had. We arrived on Sunday and noticed work at the villa next door, but thought nothing of it until the builders showed up on Monday morning. It was so loud that we had to shut all the doors and stay inside. Management said they knew about the work and were in touch with the owner, and apologised. After two more days of the same noise, I contacted them again. They apologised again and offered only to move us to a villa in peurto del Carmen, which didn’t work for us because we’d booked Playa Blanca and wanted to stay there. We spent the rest of the stay in town, on the beach or out of the villa because we couldn’t bear the noise. We even sent management videos. I understand the work was outside their control, but they knew it was happening and never told us before we arrived. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have stayed. The work was still going on, with drills, on our last day as I wrote this, and it seemed far from finished. The villa itself was okay, but there were cockroaches in the kitchen, which was gross. The master bedroom shower flooded the whole bathroom. Furniture was worn and dirty, and the bedding had no protectors, so the pillows smelled of other people’s sweat. Cleaners came once during our 11-night stay and didn’t do much. Such a shame, because I’ve never had a bad villa stay in Playa Blanca. I won’t use this company again, and I feel sorry for anyone booked there over the next few weeks.

We found a few problems on arrival, including a small shower flood and a broken toilet seat. Customer support sorted both within 24 hours after we called. The bathrooms are great, with rain showers and a constant supply of hot water. The villa was otherwise tidy and clean, though the kitchen wasn’t equipped enough for our needs. It would be fine if you eat out a lot. The heated pool was comfortable, and the gated development was quiet, with parking for one car. The waterfront is a good 20-minute walk, so you need a car. A few things could use attention: the outdoor furniture is very worn, and one bedroom has a dodgy mattress that needs replacing. We’d stay again.

I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but felt I had to warn people about this stay. There was construction at the villa next door from 8 a.m. Monday to Friday, and at times the noise went on until 11 p.m. Cockroaches were in the kitchen and en-suite bedroom. They sprayed the room once after we complained, but it didn’t help. The pool water level dropped every day, and the water wasn’t clean when we arrived. Anyone thinking of renting here should think twice. Terrible stay!

The complex is very quiet and in a great location, and the house was really clean. We felt comfortable and loved everything about it. The pool is fantastic. Aroa is paradise, and I’ll definitely come back to this villa. I highly recommend it.

The pool is amazing, and the place is in a really quiet area close to Playa Blanca. The house is spacious, super cool and has luxurious finishes. Everything was clean and in good condition. Fantastic, I highly recommend it.
