Villa Pedro

The outside space is lovely, but we wouldn’t stay again unless the air conditioning is fixed. The lounge and main bedroom have no working air con, and the fans provided don’t cool rooms that are already boiling. We’re here with two young children, and if we’d been warned in advance, we’d probably have looked for another option. There’s a note behind glass in the lounge about the fault, so the owners or management company know. They seem in no hurry to fix it. The villa was empty the week before we arrived, so they could easily have installed working units then. I’m convinced this has been an issue for a while and they’re assuming guests will put up with it. We booked through Travel Counsellors, but it’s a Jet2 holiday. Jet2 haven’t been helpful. Our Travel Counsellors rep Abbi has been great, constantly chasing updates, and she’s as furious as we are about the problem and the lack of proper help from the villa operators. For £5,000 a week, I expect the basics to work. There are also threatening notes under glass saying we’ll be charged if rubbish is left in the villa. I don’t object to the rule itself, but the communal bins are a good 10-minute walk away. That’s fine for us, but not for people with mobility issues. Closer bins or a less aggressive approach would help.
