The villa was great and very clean. The pool, though, wasn't heated as advertised, so don't expect warm water at every time of day.

Villas blancas is a private residential complex, with some homes rented to tourists directly and others through a company. Each villa has its own pool, but it's much like an Air BnB otherwise: the villas are self-contained and there are no shared facilities.

The villa itself was lovely, but the outdoor areas were a letdown. The pool was freezing and not very large, and the sun loungers and plastic table were grubby and need replacing. Air con was only in two bedrooms. The kids' twin room had just a fan, which was noisy and dirty. Cleaning and sheet changes happened only once a week.

We had a really good week as a family at Villas Blancas, in Villa 38, a four-bedroom place. The gated complex suited us, and the management company provided good service. The villa had plenty of space and the pool area was just what we wanted. We did need a hire car, but that worked well and let us get out and see things. There were only two sofas for a villa sleeping eight, so evenings inside felt a bit cramped. That's a minor complaint and I may be picky. It was good value, and I'd gladly stay again.

A lovely, peaceful villa with a heated pool. During the day it didn't really need heating: my dive computer read 27 degrees with the heat pump off. Most places are a 30-40 minute drive away, or town is only five minutes. Highly recommended.
