H10 Las Palmeras Hotel

Breakfast had loads of choices that changed daily, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The pool area was really nice, and you can get to the beach from the hotel. Rooms are spacious, and every staff member we met was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a great hotel and I’d stay again. The only thing missing is a decent gym.

The staff were professional, caring and just lovely. I didn’t get the name of the woman who checked us in, but she was great. Our room was lovely too, with a great shower and sea view. We had the dreamiest stay! I did catch Galindo’s name. He works in the restaurant and took really good care of me as someone with celiac disease. Each day he arranged cakes, bread, pizzas, pasta, whatever I wanted, so it was easy to feel safe with the food. He and the restaurant team were wonderful. If you’re also celiac or gluten-free, I recommend it 10000/10. Muchas gracias Galindo! The food was amazing every night.

We’d extended our time in Tenerife but couldn’t stay on at our original apartment, so we booked five nights at Las Palmeras. It’s very conveniently located near shops, bars and restaurants. Our sea-view room was lovely, and the breakfast choice was good, though oddly we couldn’t find any ketchup. Reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff were all polite and friendly. The pool area was very clean but busy. I’m not keen on sardine-style sunbathing, though if you look around there are a few quieter spots. The pool aerobics seemed popular. My only real criticism is that the rooms, though clean and comfortable, could do with updating. Ours had only two sockets, not enough for all the devices that need charging. The TV internet was out for three days. The receptionist said it was a hotel-wide issue. The shower enclosure leaked too. Reception sent someone up straight away when I reported it, but it kept leaking; the maid made sure we had enough towels to soak up the water. These are small first-world problems, but for five extra days in the sun, it was well worth it.

The staff made the stay special. They brought chocolates and bottled water to our room on the first day, then left a birthday card under the door for my boyfriend on his birthday. They were always polite and helpful, and we’ll definitely come back. Each night had entertainment, with daytime activities at the pool too, though we went out most nights and didn’t see much of those. I booked the hotel for his birthday and we had a great experience. On arrival, our room was upgraded to a two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow with a kitchen and two balcony areas. The all-inclusive package included access to an Italian restaurant and coffee shop, and the hotel shops were useful. Bar service was quick, with premium brands included. It was always easy to find a table for breakfast, lunch or dinner, staff brought drinks to us, and the food changed every day. I’m vegetarian and still had something different each day, which was a really nice change.
