Villa Vik Hotel Boutique

The staff were lovely, though I would have liked there to be more of them. We had a great week at this small, adults-only hotel with 14 rooms. Breakfast was good, but a wider choice of cereals would have been nice.

The hotel calls itself 5 star on its website, while the sign out front says 4, and even four feels exaggerated. The rooms, furnishings, amenities, linens and towels were acceptable for a 3 star place, but calling this a 5 star hotel is absurd. I plan to notify the tourist authorities.

The pool area was a lovely spot to sit and unwind, and the rooms were spacious and clean. We loved borrowing the free bikes from reception. The hotel sits beside a wide, flat bike path, so cycling was an ideal way to get around and explore the area. It's a gorgeous, peaceful hotel tucked away from the touristy areas. The staff were lovely too. Highly recommend!

Traveling alone, I especially appreciated how friendly everyone was and how naturally the staff made me feel at home. They went the extra mile for my birthday, singing for me, setting up a beautiful breakfast table, and bringing cava and birthday cake with dinner. They even arranged a manicure appointment for me in town. I also loved being able to use the bikes for free and how easy it was to get to neighboring towns.
