H10 Costa Mogán - Adults Only

Celia at reception deserves a special mention. She made us feel at home, helped us relax, and often knew what we needed before we asked. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and went the extra mile. Housekeeping and room servicing were faultless. The pool area and bars stayed spotless and were very relaxing. There isn’t much to do around the hotel, which is our only real downside and might make us hesitate about returning. Still, we had a lovely week at H10 Costa Mogan. The place was spotless, and the staff seemed friendly and happy in their jobs. Our room was above the lounge and entertainment area, but the noise wasn’t excessive. Michael, the one-person Animation Team, was always cheerful and enthusiastic. The buffet had plenty of variety and we always found things we liked. Our one included dinner at Costa Fusion was superb, and Toni and Begona were smiling, excellent waiters throughout. Most evenings had the usual singing acts, but we especially enjoyed the circus performance one night.

We used to stay in Taurito every year for over 12 years, then took a break from Gran Canaria. We’d been to this hotel a few years back before it became H10 and didn’t think we’d return. Once we heard it was now H10 and adults only, though, we were keen to try it again. We’ve already booked Costa Mogan for next year. We’re leaving feeling relaxed. It’s a beautiful hotel with great facilities and service, and every staff member we met was pleasant and polite. Our room was kept lovely and clean. The restaurant was good quality, and we liked Fusion too. Special thanks to the two men singing and dancing in the lounge bar at night while serving great drinks. Two small issues: the shower cubicle leaked whatever we tried, so we needed extra towels for the floor. Also, the lounge bar’s indoor seats weren’t comfortable. We had to borrow cushions from other chairs, and we heard others mention it too. Neither problem spoiled a great stay. Thanks, H10 Costa Mogan, see you next year.

We were all inclusive and didn’t come across any glaring exceptions. The food was plentiful and had a good range, though keeping so many choices warm seemed difficult. Service stood out from booking right through to checkout, with friendly, professional staff and no problems. We spent 10 days here in February in a Superior Junior Sea-view Suite. The room was spacious and well equipped. I’m not keen on the open-plan bathroom, but it was OK. I also didn’t like paying a small daily charge for coffee capsules and a bottle of water, even as all inclusive guests. The location is good. There’s not much in Plays del Cura, but Amadores is a half-hour walk, Puerto Rico is an hour away on foot, and buses go to pretty much everywhere on Gran Canaria. Evening entertainment was pretty good. “Stylefree ft.Ale Martin” was a highlight, a class above. The weather was excellent, which inevitably colours a review.
