Alejo really made our stay, he was welcoming, helpful, and especially thoughtful about breakfast since two of our family of four have celiac disease. The breakfast was worth having, and the hotel was pleasant and relaxing overall. It matched what we'd expected for its price and quality. Some towels could have been cleaner, and a few pieces of furniture were a bit old, which is understandable for a two-star place. Combarro is about 10 minutes away. We'll come back.

The room sprang a leak during a rainy night, and after I went to reception, I waited half an hour without getting any help. The facilities weren't dirty, at least. It's still a fairly affordable place close to Pontevedra, but the food has gone downhill. A couple of years ago it was good quality; now it's mostly frozen and not even cooked properly.

Traffic on the road outside was constant, and the noise went on day and night, making it hard to sleep. There was no air conditioning either, and Galicia still gets hot in summer. Our group was unhappy with the service throughout the stay. We were there for five days and had a hard time getting fresh towels, while some guests were told there weren't any. Some stained sheets were left bundled in a room corner instead of being changed, and the electrical outlets didn't work properly. The food was mediocre, and staffing was poor. It looked like there were too few workers for the number of guests, though staff seemed to be working under difficult conditions. They tried to put on a front, when the real issue seemed to be management. I was assigned this hotel on a tour of Galicia and wouldn't stay again. I hope management improves things so guests will want to return.

The room was clean, but the door cards opened every door, so another guest could accidentally walk right in. Be careful. The internet was awful too. Dinner and breakfast were terrible, and I rarely see hotel rooms this bad. The staff came across as unfriendly: one of two women was yelling on her own, while a young man behind reception kept busy on his phone with his coat still on. A place I'd rather forget.

When we raised the problems with the manager, she answered rudely that they didn't charge like a four-star hotel, although we had paid €85 a night. The rooms are in very poor shape, with old furniture, and traffic from the busy road out front makes them noisy. Breakfast wasn't staffed. Arrive late and there may be nothing left, and no way to get coffee either. A complete miss.
