Pola de Allende is lovely, with good, affordable food and friendly people. To get there, ignore Google Maps and continue through Pola de Allende for another two kilometers. The route Maps shows has a difficult climb, a single lane, an improved road, no signs, and steep drops. If you enjoy nature, peace, and welcoming people, you’ll feel right at home.

It’s a comfortable, welcoming little place, though a bit far from the main tourist sights. 😉

That barbecue was something else, and the meat quality was wonderful. Congratulations to the hosts!
