For a one-star hotel, it’s great. I stayed three nights, with the centre about five minutes away and bars and a restaurant nearby. The internet worked fine.

After walking nearly 40 kms from Poladura de Tercia, this hotel was a real blessing on the Camino de san Salvador. People who leave negative reviews may be happier with other options, though those are surely more expensive.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the woman who welcomed us and looked after us was friendly throughout. I don’t understand some of the other comments. The only drawback is the nearby highway, but traffic dies down at night, so it didn’t get in the way of sleeping. A very good place for a weekend away.

We barely slept, with footsteps and people coming and going all night. The toilet kept making a running noise even though it wasn’t flushing, and we had to remove the lid and lower the spring by hand when it stuck. The street door made our room door shake whenever someone went out, and you could hear absolutely everything. The room itself felt old, and its main door was like a typical bathroom door at home. The only glass door was the one from the street, with the rooms upstairs. We got just one sachet each of shampoo and shower gel for two people, so I used hand soap from the Gadis supermarket in the bathroom. We didn’t use the TV, which was tiny, smaller than a computer screen, and would need binoculars to see from bed. This wasn’t what we expected, and felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Booking.com listed parking, but there wasn’t any; if you can’t find a place on the street, you have to walk for a while. Another rather rude thing happened that night. The receptionist’s first move was to charge us 50 euros.

The beds were spacious and very comfortable, and the views over the Asturian trails were spectacular. The room was spotless, and the service was very friendly. One of the best hotels in northern Asturias. We’ll come back.
