Casa Altas Crestas

The house itself was lovely and clean, and the natural surroundings were beautiful. We stayed five days, but barely slept because dogs at the neighboring farm barked continuously until dawn. There are chickens and cows there as well. The house and area are worth a visit, but we came to a high mountain village for some peace and quiet, and this experience means we don't want to return.

A dog barking at night might disturb your sleep, though I imagine it was just a one-off. Apart from that, this is an ideal house in a spectacular setting, spacious and spotless, with everything you need. Pets are welcome at no extra charge.

Sleeping was impossible, even though we'd come for a few days of rest. The dogs bark all night, and they're lying on the doormat when you arrive, so you have to shoo them away to get inside. There's a field with cows right by the entrance, and the whole street gets very dirty. The house itself is perfect and has everything you need.

The owners treated us so kindly, and the house was lovely, with care put into every detail. There were toys for the three children, which was a real bonus for our family of two adults and three kids. This beautiful house is in a less well-known part of Cantabria, but it's close to the Soplao Caves, Potes, Fuente Dé and its cable car, Bárcena la Mayor, and the Hermida Spa, which I highly recommend. Don't hesitate to stay, you won't be disappointed.
