We had such a relaxing holiday here that we didn’t want to head home. The villa is all on one level, which meant no stairs, and we liked its traditional, slightly old-fashioned feel. It still had the usual things like WiFi and a Smart TV, plus air con in the lounge and all three bedrooms. The pool was great, with a lovely barbecue area. There were four sunbeds, a table and four chairs, as well as a bench and more seating by the barbecue. The covered spot by the front door, the only way into the property, was handy when it rained. We ate breakfast there and stayed dry and warm. There’s also an outbuilding with a shower bathroom, a washing machine and, usefully, a basket of pegs for the drying rack. The garden was lovely, with lemon and lime trees, grape vines, an apple tree and a fig tree by the pool. There’s lots of parking behind the villa, including a covered open garage. The kitchen had all we needed: cooker, microwave, toaster, toastie maker and an upright fridge freezer. Plenty of cutlery and utensils, too, and the pantry was well stocked with cups, plates and pans. There was even a high chair. It’s in a quiet part of Pollensa, midway between Pollensa and Port Pollensa, so having a car is a must. Buses and taxis are around, but the villa is a long way from a main road. When we were looking for it, the ornamental turkeys on the opposite villa’s gates made a useful landmark. Pollensa town, Port Pollensa and Port Alcudia are all close enough for outings. The people of Majorca were mostly really friendly. We didn’t face any animosity over tourism, despite what’s been reported in the media, and in our trips to all four corners of the island we didn’t see or hear any protests. We’d recommend Cuevas Drach on the east side and Port Soller on the west. Enjoy!
