Son Brull Hotel & Spa

Those gardens and the scenery around Son Brull are so peaceful and beautiful that it was easy to unwind as soon as we got there. We came for three nights from April 17th to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel mixes a refined retreat feel with classic style and a modern touch. The staff, from reception to breakfast and the spa, were incredibly kind and attentive. Alex, the barman, was wonderful too. Everyone seemed to care about making our stay a good one. We appreciated the thoughtful extras, including sunhats in the room and free E-bikes, with chilled water provided whenever we set off. This family-owned hotel really looks after its guests. I'm looking forward to coming back in late Summer and finally trying the spa.

We stopped by on a Saturday in March, after phoning ahead to ask if non-guests could come for a drink and something to eat. We arrived at 2:45 pm hoping for lunch, but the receptionists looked at each other and said it wasn't available. When I asked about a snack, they said no. We went to the terrace bar and had delicious limonadas, but were also told we couldn't get food there. That was puzzling, since it was a busy Saturday lunchtime in Spain and people were eating in the restaurant. We enjoyed the lovely view and surroundings, then left and ate elsewhere. I was left feeling a bit uncomfortable and still don't know why we were refused service. Nobody explained. The HOTEL and grounds are exquisite, and I can imagine staying there would be memorable. The day before, we had a very different welcome at HOTEL Formentor four seasons. Although we weren't guests, they invited us in for coffee, let us walk around the grounds, and we were able to have a drink and a meal. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming.

After our stay, I sent the hotel the note below. I have nothing to add. Dear Sirs, We wanted to thank you for the wonderful time we had at your hotel. As I said at checkout, many five-star hotels now have similar things to offer: clean rooms, attractive architecture, pools, spas, and good restaurants. What really sets them apart is their staff and the service they give. We've been lucky enough to stay at many such hotels over the years, but the care we received last week was unmatched. We felt looked after the whole time. Every interaction struck a lovely balance between genuine human warmth and complete professionalism. That consistency was clear everywhere, from the restaurants and front desk to the lady who handled our laundry. It felt like the result of having the right people and a strong, motivating service culture. Thank you for that! As I mentioned at checkout, we'll be back in Mallorca from [xxx]. The setting was beautiful, and everyone was welcoming and friendly when we came for lunch with the kids. The food was excellent. We waited a little longer than usual, but it was worth it. Would happily recommend!
