Casa Rural El Almendro de Maria

The owner was incredibly attentive, and the house was spotless, with every detail just right and spectacular decor. Our group of 15 friends stayed on March 9th and enjoyed the barbecue and games, even in the rain. We'd definitely come back and recommend the place. Thanks for everything!

We stayed the last weekend of June 2024, seven couples in all, and this was easily the best rural house we've stayed in during our yearly trips to different parts of Spain. María was very kind and gave us helpful information. The place is incredible, beautifully decorated, and has loads of shared space, including a living room, a big dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, a barbecue area outside, and even a covered garage for getting together if the weather turns bad. It's not right in central Ponferrada, but it makes a good base for exploring the area, and there's plenty of parking. There's so much to see and do nearby that I think we'll return.

We rented the whole house for a family weekend, and it worked out really well. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, each with its own bathroom, and the place was spotless. It’s a spectacular house.

We loved our stay at Almendro de Maria. The owner was lovely, and the rooms were beautiful, spacious, and had all the comforts. The house is very close to Ponferrada. The photos look good, but seeing it in person is even better. If you're staying in the area, I'd definitely recommend it.
