Albergue Nacama Hostel Pontevedra Peregrinos Pilgrims

The huge shared room is divided by curtains around the beds, and somehow still felt quiet and private. The albergue has a clean, modern, welcoming feel. There are spacious showers, places to wash and hang clothes, and a small kitchen. I had a really pleasant stay.

The host was so kind and friendly, and booking by WhatsApp was easy and efficient. It’s right on the Camino trail and close to town. A clean, private albergue with great showers and good cooking facilities.

I’d already found four albergues completely full when I was given a place here. It was the last bed available, and I think it was fate. I’ve never had a hostel bed this luxurious on the way. The bright spaces and warm welcome made it comfortable, with room to use the bathroom, shower and common areas without squeezing in. It was the only hostel on my journey where climbing to the top bunk didn’t make the bed creak. And those curtains were out of this world. I’ll remember this place fondly.

The location is great. Across the street there’s a supermarket, an excellent restaurant where you can try octopus, and a cafe selling homemade takeaway food you can bring back for dinner at the hostel. The beds have comfy mattresses and curtains for a bit of privacy, and the reception staff are very friendly. Amazing place, though I wish it cost a little less.
