We had a very disappointing stay at Hotel Ruas in Pontevedra because our room seemed to have bed bugs. We found several in the mattress and bedding, and were bitten overnight. When we raised it, the manager suggested the bugs might have come from our backpacks, even though they were visibly coming from the mattress and bed. We were also told no earlier guests had reported an issue, which was difficult to believe given how many bugs we found. The hotel dismissed our concerns instead of dealing with them. Future guests should inspect the room and bedding carefully before staying.

The value was terrific, and my room was amazing. I was here for a rest day while walking my Camino and loved the stay. Right in the heart of Old Town, the location felt perfect. I'd definitely come back.

We had a delicious meal in the restaurant, with really nice service. The hotel itself was a great, clean stop for the night on the Camino, right in the middle of the old district. Closing the double windows helped with street noise, though the street sweeper was still a bit loud early in the morning.

The rooms are modern, and the hotel is very centrally placed in Pontevedra. Breakfast is quite basic. We've stayed here twice, and the welcome wasn't very friendly either time. At check-in on our first stay, the man at reception was especially unfriendly and seemed irritated.
