La casa blava del Segre

We had a lovely time here, with both fun and peace and quiet, and I hope to come back soon. Casa Blava del Segre is a beautifully kept old mansion dating to around 1800. It still has its rural character, alongside modern touches like the showers and the glass ceilings upstairs. There are three refrigerators and plenty of shared spaces for relaxing. The house is huge, with lots of rooms, so it works really well for a group or a family. The owners were wonderful and very friendly. The "safareig" area is a short walk away, not on the same property. It's a lovely open space with a natural river-water pool, once used as a laundry and bathing area by the people who lived there. There's also a big barbecue and an outdoor area filled with unusual objects from different eras. In the village of Ponts, supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants are about a five-minute walk away. There are neighbors nearby, but the old stone walls insulate sound well, so we could have a small party without disturbing anyone.
