Hotel Sa Bassa Rotja Ecoturisme

The rooms have a traditional Mallorcan feel rather than a modern one. I highly recommend Marcelo for a quality, personal body treatment or massage.

The hotel and its grounds look beautiful and are kept very neat. It’s in a great spot on the island, and we had an amazing stay. Our spacious room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The furniture is quite old, but it suits the hotel's charm. I especially appreciated the bug nets on both windows, which meant we could leave them open and keep the air conditioning off at night. You don't often see that in hotels. Breakfast was really good, with some changes from day to day. Nearly everything was fresh, and they brought fresh orange juice when we sat down. Lunch, or their “snack”, and dinner were fine for us, but not great. A few dinners were too salty, the chicken and shrimp in pasta were dry, and the spaghetti bolognese had far too much oregano. We ended up eating lunch and dinner elsewhere when we could. Reception was amazing. Check-in was the best we've had, and everyone was friendly, helpful, and ready to answer our questions. Restaurant service was mostly great too, though one time we asked for a pitcher of Sangria and were told we could only order two glasses. I still don't understand why, since a pitcher is cheaper. It felt strange, so we stopped at those two glasses. We hadn't had anything else to drink and weren't tipsy, so it wasn't that. It was a one-off annoyance, though, and didn't change my rating. Very good hotel, almost perfect. We'd definitely visit again.

The gardens have bio fruit, vegetables, and herbs that we got to try, and they also use them in the restaurant. We especially enjoyed breakfast, and liked most of the dinners we had. The pool has lots of sunny spots, and I liked the way the hotel is built, with nature pavement around it. There are sheep with bells and funny donkeys, and my daughter got to ride a horse on the neighbours' land. That was a nice experience! I went with my daughter in February, when spring was already in full swing and flowers were opening in the sun everywhere. We both loved this beautiful eco hotel, from the entrance with its huge palm trees to the very kind and helpful team. We enjoyed driving around different parts of the island and coming back to the friendly atmosphere. Five great days on Mallorca. I recommend Sa Bassa Rotja!

The staff were a real highlight, so friendly and polite, and we enjoyed the pool and gym. Breakfast and dinner were great, though we didn't eat much at lunch because the choices were limited. We would have liked more local food at midday. The rustic rooms suited us, and while the AC is old, it works. The facilities are great overall. Some gelato in the afternoon would have been lovely when it got hot! We had a great time at Sa Bassa Rotja and would recommend it.
