Hotel Esplendido

The hotel was lovely and generally exceeded what we expected, but the pool service needs work. There were lots of staff around, yet they tended to gather and chat at the pool bar instead of serving guests or tidying up. With this many people on duty, it seems like a straightforward fix. Food service at the pool bar ends at 4pm, and drinks stop at 6pm. Guests can get drinks from the main bar, but at these prices that shouldn’t be necessary, especially when there are plenty of staff. The hotel is perfectly placed for sunset views, and I’m sure keeping one or two bar staff there later would bring in enough extra revenue. Pool drinks are expensive too, €4.80 for a can of Fanta or Sprite feels excessive, particularly when you have to go order it yourself.

I loved waking up to the view from my room, it made the mornings feel special. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the restaurant served delicious food with lovely presentation. I’d definitely like to come back! For more recommendations, check out my Instagram @arzustravelblog ✨

There was plenty to explore around the hotel grounds, and the staff were helpful. Our large sea view balcony room was perfect, with lovely views over the port, especially at sunrise and sunset. The room amenities were good too.

brilliant stay and great service. The only small thing was that the lobby bar staff could have been more attentive. The restaurant was superb, a real step above the other local places, and we had two stunning dinners with a great wine list.
