I booked at the last minute and was really glad I did. It was one of the few hotels with a democratic price for August, and I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a lovely little hotel. Reception was friendly, my room was clean and had AC and a small terrace, and the beach is just 1 minute away. That made it easier to get up for the amazingly beautiful sunrise in Portbou. I'd love to come back in September.

My room was just right for one person, with a private bathroom, comfy bed, and terrace overlooking the beach. Breakfast wasn't included, but the simple meal was good. The station walk was short but steep, which isn't surprising in a small place like Portbou. The hotel was easy to find in a nice spot by the beach. A cute little place.

We stayed for one night on a weekend and liked the hotel and this quiet little beach town so much that we came back the next weekend. It's very good value for a hotel right on the beach. The room was clean and up to a high standard for a 1 star hotel.
