We were still dealing with the bites a week later, even after washing everything. The morning after our stay, we found bedbugs in every corner of the room, with what looked like generations of them. We waited until the bar was empty before telling the waitress, since she was busy between the restaurant and bar. She said we might have brought them in our backpacks and that it seemed odd because her colleague cleans every day. We had to wash everything, backpacks included, at a public laundry so we wouldn’t carry bugs to the next albergue, then go to a pharmacy for antihistamines and itch cream. I’m sorry to leave a bad review because I know a bad reputation affects the workers, but this hostel is full of bedbugs. Anyone running a place like this should take the problem seriously. They’re harming both guests and colleagues. Pilgrim to pilgrim, stay away. You’ll find more Camino atmosphere and cleanliness anywhere else.

The bean soup was magnificent, and the pilgrims’ menu looked promising. But the chicken and ribs mains seemed deep-fried rather than oven-cooked. I’d have the soup and leave it at that.

My room was okay, though some people said they were extremely hot in October. The laundry room was tiny and already full. The staff member checking us in was very cold.

I had a good experience here, so I don’t understand the earlier comments. The restaurant looks out over the river, which makes for a beautiful view, and the food and wine were great. The service was professional too. Try the Rioja and meatballs. Don’t miss this little gem ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

We were tired from walking the Camino de Santiago, spotted this cafe, and stopped for a rest and a drink, with a restroom stop too. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and the location has a great view. Prices are a little high.
