After a three-week road trip from England, we stayed here in August. Of the campsites we tried along the way, this was our favorite. It’s in a great spot in the woods, and you can pitch wherever you like. The pool area was great and the staff were lovely. Thanks so much. If we’re in the area again, we’ll be back.

The pool was great for cooling the kids down, and the staff went out of their way to help us celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The place gave us the complete switch-off we needed. The facilities are dated, but clean, and the showers were hot. Bring bug spray since it’s in the woods, though it’s so peaceful there. Our one gripe was the slow service. We would have spent more at the restaurant and bar if they’d served us faster.

A very peaceful campsite, and a handy base for hikes and other activities. It was clean enough, and the service was very good even in low season. The people there were helpful and nice.

There are quite a few trees around the campsite, and the bathrooms were fairly clean, though they could use a renovation. Ants were everywhere, even inside the bathrooms. The restaurant was pleasant enough and seemed reasonably priced. The biggest problem was the noise: groups stayed loud until about 2 am, and no one told them to quiet down.

The location is good, which makes it a shame that the house we stayed in was in such disgraceful condition. The showers were dirty, and there was nobody at reception.
