The service was fine and the people seemed genuine. The meat was the best I’ve had in years, and the quality was good in several ways.

A nice hotel.

The bathroom wasn’t properly clean. Near the hairdryer, I found bits of food stuck to it, which was disgusting. The rest of the cleaning was adequate. Our stay at this hostel was disappointing from the start. We arrived at night and found there was no hot water when we tried to shower. Reception said the boiler was broken and the technician wouldn’t come until Tuesday, even though it was Saturday. They suggested cold showers or waiting until 11 or 12 the next morning for the solar panels to heat the water. On December 6th, I ended up showering in freezing water. Late the next afternoon, they called to say the water was hot, but when we got back it was still freezing. Their solution was to send us across the street to the other hostel to shower. That’s unacceptable when we’d paid to stay here, and they offered neither compensation nor a lasting fix. I know unexpected problems happen, but hot water is a basic service, and we paid for a stay without it. The management was very poor, with no consideration for customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
