La Casona de Pravia

House number 1 was clean, roomy, and welcoming, with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a few days. They'd even left trash bags, detergent, and dishwasher tablets, which we really appreciated. It's set among the woods, so don't expect nearby bars or shops. The Magic Forest is right next door, with all kinds of figures along a fun woodland walk, and there were cows and sheep around too.

The owners were attentive and very friendly, and La Casona II was clean, spacious, and well looked after. It's in a wonderful natural setting. We had a great stay there, and the nearby magical forest would be a big hit with children.

La Casona II was lovely for our few days there. We slept well on the comfortable beds, and the sheets and towels were in perfect condition. The house was spotless, too. The owners were warm and ready to help with whatever we needed, and the location is beautiful.

The cleaning and towels were a real letdown. The toaster was dirty, the dish rack was moldy and needed cleaning as soon as we arrived, and when we switched on the extractor fan, grime fell into the food. There weren't enough towels for everyone, so we had to share, and the closets smelled damp enough that we couldn't leave our things in them. We were also told checkout was 11 am repeatedly, despite being made to wait until 5 pm for check-in while the house was cleaned. We spent 7 days at Casona de Pravia I and found the photos old and misleading. Although the website says it sleeps 8, there are only beds for 7 plus a folding bed. We had two small children, so one slept on it, but it wouldn't work for an adult. There also wasn't enough kitchenware for 8 people, and we had to drink from coffee cups. A washing machine and dishwasher are useful, but we think detergent and tablets should be provided. We left disappointed and have serious doubts about the cleaning company they say they use.
