We’re bringing friends next time, since the house is so much fun. The basement has been substantially improved by the new host, with a projector and home cinema setup where you can watch whatever you like. There’s also a great pool table, and we spent plenty of time playing darts. The pool is well cared for, and the barbecue is a real bonus. Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the living room and bedrooms have air conditioning. We’ll definitely return.
The only thing I'd change is the patio furniture. We spent a lot of time outside and would have preferred a table and more comfortable chairs than the plastic ones, especially in summer. Otherwise, it was fantastic. The pool is cleaned every other day, and it's a lovely place to relax and cool off. The house is close to the town's two bars and near Priego de Córdoba, so visiting is easy. It was also great that pets were allowed without any fuss.
The private pool is a real highlight, and the house has plenty of space and comforts for summer or winter. Castil de Campos is about 10 minutes from Priego de Córdoba. I highly recommend staying here.
I won't be coming back. The houses were very dirty, and the pools were filthy and full of bugs. One pool had no railing, which felt dangerous for children. The house is at a dead end in an awful location, and its facade makes it look abandoned. There was no parking either.
There were no shops nearby and no beach, and the photos bore no resemblance to what we found. Construction next door started at 6 am, so we couldn't get any rest. They also asked us for a deposit on the day we arrived. On top of that, I got a urinary tract infection, which I think was from the disgusting pool. In my opinion, this villa doesn't even deserve one star.
