Hostal Carlos V

We found plenty of parking behind the place, and check-in was straightforward. It's well located for seeing the town, and compared with the other places I'd looked at in and around Puebla, including reviews on here and booking.com, it offered good value for the price. We had a double room on the first floor for one night. It was small but clean, with a comfortable bed and cosy duvet. The shower got very hot, which we liked, and there was a little fridge for our things. The woman we were in touch with was pleasant and helpful.

I liked it so much that I've extended my stay. Mamen, the owner, is caring and very helpful, and you can tell she knows how to look after guests. She's the third generation to run this Hostal. The rooms are excellent, warm, and very clean, and the cafe area is inviting. It's a wonderful place to stay and good value for money.

If the albergue is still closed, this Hostal is a great stop on the Camino. My single room was awesome for the price, and the staff were super friendly. Muchas gracias.

The meal was lovely. I had the chicken and my friend chose the T-bone, and both were great. We stayed and ate here: the place was clean and tidy, the rooms were spacious, and the sheets were lovely. We slept well.
