Palazzo Calero Luxury Plus

We felt at home here and would happily come back. The villa was peaceful despite being close to the marina, with lovely views and shaded off-road parking. There’s a good-sized supermarket about five minutes away on foot, and a shortcut to a nice sea swimming spot that takes under ten minutes. The snorkeling was surprisingly good too. We saw lots of fish and a stingray just a few feet from the harbour wall and shore. The pool is around 6m x 3m and unheated, but we swam in it in December. It was big enough for a cool dip or some water exercises. Inside, there’s plenty of seating and dining space, both indoors and out, and the villa is bright, airy and comfortable. The beds and sofas were especially comfortable, with memory foam toppers on all the beds. The kitchen is well equipped, and this was the first place where I’ve found a decent hairdryer. A few small things could be better. The microwave is old and rusty and needs replacing. The bathrooms are beautifully tiled, but there wasn't enough hot water for my husband to have a bath while I showered, so we had to take turns. That was fine for the two of us, though it could bother a bigger group. The irrigation hose crosses the path in two places and is a real trip hazard. I did trip. The kitchen cupboards and wardrobe rails were too high for me at 5' 2", so a small step stool would help. An information sheet would have been useful too. We only learned from a neighbour that rubbish goes in a little cupboard in the boundary wall, and had to use Google to find supermarkets and recycling points. These were minor issues. I’d rate it 4.5 stars if I could, and only took one star off for those few drawbacks. A beautiful villa in a great spot, a real home from home.

Our family of four had a fantastic time. The villa was lovely, the location was great, and it was so quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the pool on warmer afternoons, and the views are beautiful. Andre was always available and really helpful with the information we asked for. At my request, he even arranged our taxi back to the Airport.

We had such a relaxing time and loved this villa. It has a great veranda, pool and garden, and the kitchen has all you need. Inside, the decor is lovely and the whole place has good vibes. The host took care to share useful information, and the harbour, shops and nearby places are all within walking distance. We also used the pretty coastal trail for walks and jogs towards Puerto del Carmen.

Andrés was a wonderful host, always reachable and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The villa itself was spacious and in an excellent location. We’d definitely stay here again.
