Be Live Adults Only Tenerife

Rooms were really clean, and the location is handy for town and the beach. A huge, inexpensive Hyper Dino supermarket is very close. Reception service was excellent, and maintenance came within five minutes when I needed the TV tuned. Breakfast had lots of choice, but unfortunately the hot food was cold every day, apparently because the bain marie was set incorrectly. I ate dinner there once. It was good value if you’re hungry and, thankfully, hot.

We ended up losing half our short holiday to stress, phone calls, and finding somewhere else to stay. We had booked four days at Be Live Hotel Tenerife, but the conditions were bad enough that we left after the first night and paid extra for alternative accommodation to salvage the rest of the trip. We reported everything to reception and contacted our travel provider while there, but no effective solution was offered. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell, and the room was freezing, with no heating and just one thin blanket for two people. The beds were so uncomfortable that we barely slept. The room looked neglected, with stains on the curtains and marks on the walls. We were on the ninth floor and the lift wasn’t working, making it difficult to get to the room. The buffet was often cold and very poor quality. When we raised our concerns, communication with staff was difficult and nothing was properly resolved. This was a frustrating, disappointing experience, and I’d advise others to think carefully before booking. I’ve formally complained to the travel provider and will take it to independent dispute resolution if we can’t reach a fair outcome. I’ll update this review once it’s resolved.

Tenerife is lovely, but this hotel was a major disappointment and nowhere near its five star rating. I stayed over Christmas 2025. Be Live Adults Only is rated five stars, but from my experience I wouldn’t give it even one star as a hostel. The shuttle took more than three hours on arrival and over two hours on the return, despite the hotel being about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes from the airport. The food was cold throughout, which was very disappointing. Housekeeping was unacceptable and seemed to need proper training. I left a small piece of chocolate near the fridge to see if the floor was cleaned, and it stayed there for three days. The sink and the glasses in both the bedroom and bathroom were never properly cleaned. The hotel is badly outdated and needs serious renovation. The room floor and bathroom door both need replacing. The mattresses were awful: one felt like concrete, and the other started sinking after only three nights.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the BeLive Adults only hotel. The room had a beautiful sea view and was comfortable, and the cleaner kept it neat each day. Staff across the hotel were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I was on HB and enjoyed every meal. The restaurant food was perfectly adequate, with something appetizing to choose each time. I was also surprised by how low the prices were for the drinks I had.
