The rooms were spotless and well maintained, and the sea view from ours was unforgettable. During our five-day stay, everything exceeded our expectations, especially the food: breakfast and dinner were delicious every day, with great variety and quality. The staff made the experience special. Everyone, from reception to housekeeping, was friendly and professional and made us feel welcome. A special thanks to the restaurant team, particularly Alfonso, whose respectful manner helped create a pleasant atmosphere each day. We’d also like to thank Elizabeth for her kindness and hospitality. The hotel brings together comfort, relaxation, good service and wonderful people. We left with lovely memories and will definitely return. Highly recommended for a relaxing, high-quality holiday by the sea.

Dinner was the meal we enjoyed: everything was tasty, and the fish was outstanding, with something different each day. Having to pay around €6 a day for one Coke and one water with dinner wasn’t so nice. We also really liked the spa, especially the salt bath, which cost us £20 each. We stayed ten nights in May for my 21st birthday. Our second-floor room was aesthetically pleasing, with a see-through bathroom screen and LED lights that could both be turned off, plus his-and-her sinks. The sea view was the best we’ve ever seen. When the shower was run full, its poor drainage caused an overflow. We called reception and someone came within minutes with clean towels and sorted it out. Breakfast and lunch were included, but after trying breakfast once, we didn’t go again. The fried egg was slimy and undercooked, the vegan sausage smelled awful, and the cereal was stale. Parking was a nightmare, and we had to use a disabled bay every day because we couldn’t find anything nearby. The lifts were a headache too: only three people fit in one, and they were mostly full, so we often waited longer. Thanks for our stay!

I usually holiday with Jet2 about five times a year and have always had excellent service from them. This complaint is about the loss of facilities at Hotel Atlantic Mirage, where my wife and I stayed. I’m disabled, with two artificial knees and two artificial hips, and can’t manage stairs easily. There were two very small lifts: one went only to floor nine, and the lift that should have reached the rooftop terrace on floor ten was broken. Reception said it might be repaired in a month. That left the terrace out of reach for me. We did get up there once on the first day, but climbing and especially descending the stairs was a struggle and felt too dangerous. There were 18 steps, plus two more without a handrail. We couldn’t go back. The rooftop terrace was the only place serving daytime snacks, so we had to leave the hotel every day and take a taxi into town and back just to get a bite. When the Jet2 reps got involved, a staff member told them there were only six steps. Chris and I have photos showing the 18 plus two steps. I asked to speak to the manager and was told nothing could be done. Then the reception “manager” appeared and was extremely rude. She interrupted me while I was asking what I was supposed to do and accused me of being abusive. She said the staff managed to use the stairs from floor nine to ten, and that I should have told them I was disabled before arriving. When I asked how that would help, she just shrugged. Chris asked if a snack could be brought to me at the ground-floor poolside bar. She said there was no room service and I wasn’t allowed to eat at the bar. Her suggestion was for my wife to buy a snack for me to eat in the room. I didn’t go on holiday to have lunch in my room. We choose hotels with facilities like a rooftop bar or outdoor snack bar because I can’t walk far and usually spend most of the day by the pool. I rarely feel discriminated against, but I certainly did here. The three Jet2 reps involved were excellent and kept me informed, but they couldn’t make any headway with the reception manager. I’ve included a picture of the small flight of stairs.

The ocean views are stunning, from the spacious, comfortable rooms to the gym and both restaurants. Down by the pool, you look straight at Teide, and upstairs there are three large jacuzzis. There are comfortable beds for couples and plenty of single beds with cool water running over them, perfect for dipping your feet 🥰. From up there, you can see the city and Teide in a beautiful panorama. The cocktails and food were incredibly tasty. This cozy, adults-only hotel has about 180 rooms. The food is delicious and varied, the spa complex is well worth a visit, and the hotel is worth every 💸. New Year’s Eve was simply wow, with every detail thoughtfully planned. The hotel has stolen our hearts ❤️ We’ll definitely come back, and I can see us celebrating Christmas and New Year here every year 🇪🇸🫶 Signed: In love with Puerto de la Cruz & Atlantic Mirage Hotel 🇪🇸🫶👌😍

We visited in January and were usually able to find parking either in the hotel lot or on nearby streets. Most of the guests were retirees from Germany and the UK. The staff were incredibly nice. Gustavo always greeted us with a smile and kind words in the restaurant, and the waiters worked very quickly. I don’t understand the complaints about food: during our eight nights, breakfast and dinner always had plenty of choices, including a live cooking station, different fruits and vegetables, several kinds of fish, meat and cheese. The spa was the one disappointment. It wasn’t worth €20. There weren’t enough hooks for towels, the sauna was very small, and people weren’t told even basic sauna etiquette, so some went in wearing slippers. When we were there, it was crowded and not relaxing at all.
