We booked a superior room, so I wonder what the other rooms are like. The place looks good in the pictures, and the location is good, but the fittings feel cheap. The bathroom is small, there are no shelves in the shower and no sink plug. There’s no plug for the kitchen sink either. Bedding and towels are poor quality, and we only got one set. The mattress and pillows weren’t good either. The TV only had Spanish channels. The washing machine and dryer are mainly for the cleaners, so access is limited, and the dryer doesn’t always work. It’s only suitable for two people, with just two chairs. A full-length mirror on the wardrobe would be useful. Nobody met us when we arrived. We had to phone to get access, and didn’t see the studio until late. The owner asked me to add the room number: 403.

Victoria was such a lovely host, and being so central, close to the sea, made the apartment especially worthwhile. I don’t really get why there are so many bad reviews, though I understand the photos show different apartments in the building, and I think different people run them too. Apartment 203 was perfect for us. It was really clean every time I stayed there.

Victoria was lovely and really attentive, which made the stay even nicer. At Iriarte 52, the studio had everything we needed and was cozy and well looked after. The sea is just a minute away on foot, so it was easy to pop down for a swim. I had an amazing stay and would recommend it for a seaside break.

The outside door never closed properly because it was broken, and I reported it several times without anything being done. They just put up a sign saying to “close the door.” When we left after 11 days, it was still broken, so anyone could get inside. That’s a very serious safety issue. If the door had been fixed, I would have given 4 stars, but the way they handle serious problems is terrible. Nobody seems to care. The place is clean and new, in a good spot near restaurants and bars, with a big Hiperdino nearby. It’s quite noisy from traffic and neighbours, though I suppose that comes with being in the city.
