Hotel Marquesa

We all felt welcome and comfortable here. The location is right in the city centre, among cultural landmarks, with direct harbor access and a lovely sea view. The booking and reception service were first-class. Mr. Gracia was especially friendly, courteous and capable, and helped us a lot with both our initial reservation and rebookings. This was my third full-week stay here while attending a European Erasmus training course. The location, staff and service have been great each time. On this visit I had an injury just 48 hours before arrival and needed a room with a walk-in shower. They were very accommodating and moved me to another fantastic room on the second day, without any hassle. It’s an excellent base for exploring the area, and I’d definitely recommend it as a go-to choice.

A lovely, stylish building with a nice reception area and great receptionists. The male receptionist gave us directions for getting to Teide, and the woman who checked us in was very friendly. You’re just a few steps from the lively town centre. I’d love to come back soon. The only downside was the lack of parking. Ask at the desk for directions to the nearest free car park by the coast.

The staff were happy to help with anything we needed and cheerfully answered our tourist questions. When our volcano hike plans fell through, they suggested a mountain hike instead. They also refilled our water bottles, gave us shop discounts, provided free Wi-Fi and brought extra toilet roll. Reception is open 24 hours, with someone to answer the door if you return late or head out early. Rooms were cleaned when requested, with fresh towels, changed and made beds, emptied bins, new soap, toilet roll, bath gel and shampoo. There’s a cash machine in the hotel, which I believe charges €5, cheaper than many ATMs there. Other facilities include a rooftop pool open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., sun loungers, a pool table for €1 per game and two vending machines.
