The room and service made a very good impression. We stayed at the Don Manolito Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz from August 15 to 26 and were very pleased. They checked us in as soon as we arrived instead of making us wait until the official time. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the ocean and mountains. It was cleaned thoroughly every day, so it stayed cozy and tidy. There's no air conditioning, but opening the window worked, and you can ask reception for a fan. The staff were always friendly and ready to help with questions. My English could have been better, but they were patient and helpful, and I'm very grateful. The whole place has a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was varied and fresh, with something to suit different tastes. We also enjoyed dinner. The dishes were tasty and fairly varied, and the desserts deserve a special mention. This isn't luxurious all-inclusive dining, but the food really exceeded expectations. It's conveniently placed near the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, the beach, grocery shops, cafés, souvenir shops, and main sights, while still being peaceful enough to relax. There is a small, clean, cozy pool with pleasant background music. Don Manolito offered excellent value for money, and we'd gladly return. I can confidently recommend it for a holiday.
