Aquazul Puerto Del Carmen

We had a fantastic stay at Aguazul 216 and would happily come back soon. The apartment faced the pool, so it got hot as soon as the sun came up, and it was very clean. The hosts were wonderfully helpful, and booking.com had a very good price. There was a washer, hairdryer, iron and other useful things, so we didn't need to pack a case.

A handy self-catering spot, with a Spar right on the doorstep and everything else close by. The main strip is about a five-minute walk. The rooms are lovely, with WiFi and all the Sky channels, and the pool is a good size for both adults and kids. It can be windy at times, and a big family might find it doesn't suit them. Some apartments are privately owned, but all in all it's a wonderful little place. My partner's parents stayed here.

The location was convenient, close to everything we needed, but the apartment itself was only in fair condition. We had to deal with several roaches and could hear them scuttling around. The pool loungers were cracked and poorly maintained, so we ended up going to the beach to relax. The only staff member we saw was a man sweeping.

We came with the kids, and they loved it, though the pool area was a bit too quiet for them. The place was spotless and in a great location. It doesn't feel like a hotel complex, since most or perhaps all of the apartments are privately owned, and the people who live here are very nice.
