Apartamentos Jable Bermudas

For families with young children, be aware the door can’t be locked from inside, so kids could open it and wander out. That’s a major flaw in the newly fitted locks. There were ants, but they supplied spray for them. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms. It was nice and clean, with everything we needed. The pool isn’t heated, so as expected it can be cold in February, but there are plenty of loungers. The poolside bar is decent and the staff are really friendly, though it costs more than other restaurants on the strip. The fish was often overcooked, even the fish fingers. The kids’ games area has two pool tables, ping pong and air hockey, though the car ride doesn’t work. The laundry room has one extra-large washer and one large dryer, handy at €4 for 50 minutes. Each room also has an outdoor clothes hanger. Staff were very accommodating.

We did have a great time, and the spacious apartments suited our needs. The bar staff were fantastic. But the reception staff really let the place down, especially on our last day. I asked to keep the room so my disabled partner could use the toilet, and although we understood the place was fully booked, we were spoken to terribly and refused access to any toilet facilities. There are no facilities for disabled passengers. The public toilets are down a very steep set of stairs, which made the last day a nightmare as my partner uses a wheelchair and doesn’t walk. We stayed 10 nights with my partner and lots of other family. After checking out at 11, our only way to use a toilet before our 20:50 flight was to book a taxi to the airport.

We’ll be back at Jables Bermudas and will ask for room 127 again. It was right by everything, with level access near the pool, bar and reception as we’d requested. The apartment was amazing and had everything we needed. The complex is great and close to everything too. We stayed 11 nights, and the rooms were cleaned regularly with towels changed daily. Most of the staff were amazing. The exception was a blonde girl on reception on Sunday evening when I returned the safe key. The 5 euro note was pinned to the receipt, but she wanted to give me my deposit in small coins and was quite ignorant. Thank-you Jables Bermudas.

It’s a quiet, peaceful spot, but only a few minutes’ walk from Spar shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. The location was great. We had a lovely few days at Jable Bermudas. At reception we got a friendly welcome, and they’d kindly arranged a room with air conditioning. It cost €7 per day plus a refundable €10 deposit. Our room had been renovated, so it was modern and spacious. The bar staff were all kind and friendly, and the bar served large draft beers for only €2.50 in ice-cold glasses. Lovely on the sun terrace!
