Apartamentos las Lilas

The staff are so lovely and accommodating, and the regular guests we've got to know have all been lovely too. We've stayed three times in two years, my wife and I, and keep coming back. It's a quiet place with no kids or noise, yet the main strip is only about 200 metres away. Spar is across the road, and the coded gate and CCTV are reassuring. Our room was spotless and cleaned regularly, with fresh towels. There's a washing machine on site as well, handy if you don't want to bring dirty clothes home. The complex has studios and one-bedroom apartments that sleep three or four with fold-out beds. The pool is a lovely temperature for the weather here, perfect for cooling off after relaxing on the loungers. Good price, peaceful stay, and a great location near the strip. We can't fault it and will be back every year. You can see from the positive reviews that it's a much-loved place. Come and see for yourself.

The location is fantastic, but we left feeling completely let down and wouldn't stay here again. We'd booked 12 months ahead, requested an upper floor, and arrived last Wednesday for our anniversary, hoping to spend lots of time relaxing in the sun. My parents had loved the place. Instead, we were given ground-floor room 621. The room looked lovely at first, but the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The toilet was filthy, reception was closed, so we cleaned it ourselves, then told them the next day. There was dirt around the room, soap scum on the bath mat, and black grime on the tiles that wiped away. A dirty breadboard with a long hair on it sat by the sink, and the hanging utensils and fridge were dirty too. Nobody cleaned our room during the stay. The cleaner came on Monday just to empty the bin. We didn't get fresh towels or any other service. We'd read reviews calling the place spotless, so this was a shock. There seemed to be many long-term guests who treated the complex like their own. They put towels on the sunbeds and gathered around the pool, making it uncomfortable for us to sunbathe. They were quite rowdy and inconsiderate, with loud music in the mornings. The bin outside our apartment was always overflowing. On our last day, we returned to find a magazine on the patio table and the chairs moved into the sun, as if someone had used the patio while we were out. That evening a huge cockroach crawled out from behind the bathroom door frame. It's sad because we had really looked forward to the trip. I've posted this on Trip advisor with photos.

A peaceful place, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'd happily stay again.

This was my second stay, about four years after the first, and the place has gone downhill. We had room 621 and completely agree with Debbie's review from two months ago. The rooms badly need refurbishment. Cleaning was basically nonexistent, so we had to clean everything ourselves and ask for fresh towels. The shower head was broken; we reported it to reception, but it was never fixed. I wouldn't stay again. There are plenty of other places in the same area.
