Apartamentos Tao Sergio

For what we paid, the apartments were more than okay. Some of the towels we got smelled strange, so I’d bring my own. The walls are thin and you can sometimes hear other people, but only when they’re making loud noises. There’s a dog too, though it rarely barks. It’s not a bad place.

The apartment was spacious and looked recently renovated, with a new toaster and juicer, but the walls were paper thin and there was very little privacy. A dog upstairs kept us awake, and there was lots of noise at night. It was extremely hot, with no air conditioning or fan. The TV didn’t work; we told the owner, but he didn’t seem to care, and nobody came to fix it during our four-day stay. There’s no elevator either. I won’t be back.

The woman who works here is lovely and helpful, and the location is good with parking available. The apartment itself was okay and clean, though the walls were dirty. Kitchenware was limited, and there wasn’t even hand soap. The main problem was the hot water: I got a hot shower only once in seven days. I wouldn’t return because of that.

Parking was easy every day right outside, and the place is handy for buses, taxis and supermarkets, almost in the center of Puerto del Rosario. The rooms, though, were old, dirty and smelly. The decor was shabby and dated, with a musty smell; the sheets were old and yellowish, and dead mosquitoes were stuck to the wall. The pillows were very uncomfortable, the towels were old and not enough, and there wasn’t even any soap in the bathroom.
