We were unsure before arriving, despite the positive reviews, but they turned out to be right. The rooms are spacious and clean, with great balconies, and the staff are friendly. The location is excellent, and the small pool worked well for our children. No air conditioning was my only real complaint, though we rented a unit from Gran Canaria Hire. The shop is very expensive, as is the bar food, but supermarkets and restaurants are close by. If we come back to Gran Canaria, we’ll definitely return to Cala Nove.

The location worked perfectly for us, about ten minutes from the beach and less than five from shops and restaurants. The apartments and outdoor areas were kept extremely clean, and ours looked just like the website photos. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at Cala Nova Apartments and are already looking forward to coming back next year.

Really friendly, fun people at reception and the bar. The late shift barman was especially great, funny and welcoming. We liked the hotel and its location, and would recommend it, but room 101 wasn’t ideal for us: people at the pool could see straight onto our balcony, so we didn’t enjoy that outdoor space much.

The rooms had been freshly painted and were clean. They’re serviced only every other day, and there’s no air conditioning, which is fine for us but might be uncomfortable in really hot weather. The hotel sits fairly low down near the commercial centre, so there are a lot fewer steps. We’ve stayed here before and will come again.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were spotless with everything we needed. The large balcony has gorgeous views over the valley and beach from this hotel at the top. My one suggestion would be to include a fan, since there’s no air conditioning; reception sells electric fans, but they cost extra. It’s a lovely place and I’ll definitely be back.
