We had a great stay here with the family over Christmas. The staff, rooms, and facilities were all lovely, and the spa was great. It’s dog-friendly, and the garage has electric car charging. The charging was very slow, but free. The hotel is only a short walk from town and the shops, which is really convenient. We’d definitely stay again on our next trip to Puigcerda.

I got a good price booking through Booking, but the extra charges made the stay quite expensive. We weren’t told beforehand about the added fees for parking and the spa. The hotel is nice, but the walls are thin enough that we could hear our neighbors talking and laughing. The staff came across as cold and arrogant. I wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel is lovely, right by the lake, and both the restaurant and service are excellent. They even came to meet us in the car park after I requested an accessible room. But getting around the grounds and reaching the restaurant with a walker is challenging. Accessibility seems to have been an afterthought there.

The room was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the location by the lake was lovely. I skipped breakfast and found a nice coffee shop just a three-minute walk away. We stopped for one night, booking through booking.com at what looked like a good price, but the total ended up quite high. I’d searched for a pet-friendly hotel because we had a small dog, then found we were charged 35€ for the dog, 20€ for parking, and 15€ per person to use the pool and spa for just one hour. Dinner was a set summer menu, which left us disappointed.

The setting high in the mountains feels secluded, with incredible views all around. It’s a classic hotel, and the rooms are comfortable without a lot of clutter. Sound carries, though, so a neighbor might hear if you take a call at night. Nearby dining choices may be limited depending on the season, so it’s worth planning ahead. Communication can take some creativity when multilingual staff aren’t available.
