The hosts made us feel welcome and looked after, and they were so friendly, helpful, and flexible. Of the more than 30 places we've stayed on La Palma, Casa Los Almendros is the best all-round option we've found, with excellent value for money. It's somewhere we'd gladly return to and recommend to anyone visiting the island. The peaceful house sits among a well-kept vineyard, with lovely sea views. You can tell from the moment you arrive that a lot of care has gone into it. Everything is in great condition, thoughtfully arranged, and well equipped. All the rooms have air conditioning, which kept them comfortable on hot days. The kitchen is especially good for anyone who likes to cook, and we found the mattresses unusually comfortable. One of the best parts was relaxing in the garden whirlpool with a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the sea. The mix of comfort, quiet, and nature made the stay feel special. In town, there are two good organic shops. One has the island's best selection of Canarian wines, and there's also what may be the best farmers' market. After more than ten years of holidays on La Palma, we've stayed in lots of places, but none has been as lovely as Casa Los Almendros.
