Apartamentos Park Raxo

The apartment and location were great, but our unit had a mini-fridge, which made things difficult for our family of four over 14 days. There was so little space that we had to go to the supermarket every day. We also had no view, just a building across the street that took away our privacy. From what I’ve read in other reviews, some apartments have normal-sized fridges and views, so it seems to come down to luck.

The estuary view is the best part, and the location itself is lovely. The place felt pretty shabby and run-down, though. Getting to the beach is awkward, and the parking situation is similar. You need to be very young or in excellent shape to manage the hills, so older people should probably avoid it. Sorry, that’s how it seemed to me.

The pool and solarium have nice views over the estuary. The accommodation itself felt cold and impersonal, with little care for details, especially cleanliness. It sits on the main road, where parked cars block the shoulder, so walking there feels dangerous, particularly with children. The place is also rather isolated. To reach the beach, you have to go down three or four flights of stairs and then wind through steep streets that aren’t well maintained.

The service was good, and the apartment was clean. We spent a week there in summer, and although it felt a little cold, the season made that less of an issue. It’s a simple place with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms, good for a holiday. There’s Wi-Fi, pets are allowed, and the pool has a huge sun terrace. The estuary views are spectacular, and the beach is just 5 minutes away. If we’re back in the area, we’d stay here again.
