Apartamentos Sinás Playa

The room was awesome, and the location is very good, with a bar next door and a nice little beach nearby. The pool was nice too. The problem was the shower, which leaked from underneath.

The only good thing was being beside the beach, if you can call it that. We booked four days, but left in under an hour because the apartment was in terrible shape. The damp smell hit us as soon as we walked in. Furniture was ancient, and the dishes looked like mismatched leftovers from someone’s home. The old wooden chairs in the “living room” had wobbly legs that seemed ready to give way. TV cables and the electrical wiring looked like they might explode. Sheets and towels all smelled damp and didn’t match. The dirt was unbelievable: feces on the toilet, a black, filthy shower, hair on the floor, crumbs across the counter, a disgusting toaster, and a microwave that needed a serious wipe. I’ve never experienced anything like it. We told the owner, who said the cleanliness issue could be resolved. But an apartment costing €200 a night should be clean when you arrive, not disgusting. We left right away and will never return.

The whole apartment had a nauseating smell, which seemed to reflect a complete lack of maintenance. We paid 300 euros/night for a week in a two-bedroom place, and the experience was unpleasant from start to finish. The kitchen was completely outdated, with old, dirty pans that made even a simple omelet impossible. Utensils, cutlery, and glasses were all different sizes and shapes, and the appliances were old and filthy, so we ate every meal out. The bedrooms had old furniture and completely mismatched linens. There were five rough towels in assorted colors, sizes, and shapes, with hardly any cotton, like sandpaper. The shower was full of sand and hair, and damp had damaged the wooden furniture. There were no replacements of any kind. The terrace was filthy, and its white plastic table could barely fit two people, though the apartment is for four. We didn’t swim because the pool water was cloudy, and with the poor cleanliness we preferred to stay out. If you want a peaceful break in a clean, acceptable place, don’t stay here. Read the reviews, since most show very low satisfaction.

The location is fantastic, and the pool is really good. I liked the nice views and the peaceful setting. The kitchen could use a bit more equipment, and the shared space could be bigger.
