I ended up driving past the hotel exit and staying on the highway. When I first called to book, I asked the woman if she spoke English and she said “a little bit.” She confirmed they had a spa, but when I tried to continue with the booking, she hung up, probably because she couldn't understand me. I called back several times and nobody answered. I know not everyone speaks English, but the way it was handled felt rude and ignorant.

The location is the only thing this place has going for it. The rooms are very bare, with no air conditioning or fan, tiny sheets, and a badly worn bed. We had to sleep with the window open and could hear everything from everyone else. We also called three times to reserve the spa and were told we could book on arrival, but by then it was fully booked.

It's very isolated, so it could suit someone looking to disconnect, but it got boring by the second day. There was no WiFi in the room and no phone signal at all. The only WiFi was in the bar across the property, and it was slow. I mostly saw older, retired guests there. The TV was tiny, with only a few Spanish channels, and even the small pool cost extra.
